His dissertation entitled Systemic Effects of Container Transportation Congestion on Transportation Costs in the Semarang City Road Network
This research is about the high cost of transportation because of the long travel time for container trucks from the Semarang Container Terminal to the hinterland area in Ungaran.
Congestion has a systemic impact on transportation costs due to consistent and continuous negative impacts on the economy which burden stakeholders, especially end users or the public. One solution to increase optimal and effective economic value is through a policy of sharing the percentage of the burden on the use of multimode (module split).
The policies and strategies that need to be implemented are:
- Completion and improvement of regional spatial planning regulations
- Mileage of Industrial Locations to Ports and Airports
- Refinement of road dimension standard regulations to anticipate economic growth for industrial activities.
Edward Danner Pardamean Napitupulu managed to defend his research in front of the examiners, so he deserved to be declared passed with a very satisfactory predicate
